…………………………………………..

The narrow streets of shahabad dairy (Delhi) is covered by small houses, some has it’s roof and others are covered by thick sheets which we call “chhappar“.

A small house made up of bricks and has “chhappar” instead of roof was very highlighted there. We could hear the sounds….the sound of fight…the sound of abusive language…the sound of domestic violence..were coming from there. Everybody was coming out from their houses and started staring that house. Neighbours started talking to each other.

Seema asked : What happened there?

Sandeep replied : I don’t know but may be they are fighting like always.

Seema : Yeah so true, they are just disgusting.

Sandeep : This women is ridiculous. I don’t know why she fights always.

Seema : She should bear it because after all her husband is the one who earns.

Sandeep : Yeah, she should be in her limits.

Then after sometime they raised their sound. Everybody could hear the noise of fighting clearly and the sound of that hard slap (trust me which can make you deaf). Now someone has opened the door from inside and it’s her husband Chandu. He left that house and went somewhere else after beating his wife Chandni.

Chandni, a fearless woman who always argue fearlessly. She could even give a tough fight to her husband. But didn’t know what happened at that time. She was silent, straight and just sobbing. She was tired of all that things, didn’t want any controversy ahead, didn’t want anybody with her and didn’t want to be dependent on her husband.

One could hear the sound – “What happened mummy”?….say something.

They hugged her and started crying.

It’s her children – Gauri and Kunal, who were too small to understand all this. They have no idea, what the hell was happening.

It was the time of night and she was still sitting in that position and her children slept with empty stomach. It was so dark in this house, her husband didn’t come yet. They hugged her and started crying.

Someone saw a women coming in their direction and it’s she (Chandni). She went for finding a job for her and yes, she got it too.

Now she is working in a factory, works very hard for the future of her children and is not dependent on anybody else.

Moral of the story :- An unmarried girls are dependent on her father, then dependent on her husband when get married & then on children. So be independent
